Dwight “Lynn” Churchwell (5-12-21) service 5-22-21

Dwight Lynn Churchwell of Crump, was born on Nov. 14, 1941, in Hardin County, the son of the late Earl and Novella Crotts Churchwell.
In September 1989, he began a lengthy courtship with Georgia Ward and on March 20, 2002, they were married.
Lynn was the owner and operator of C&C Trucking in Crump, and after 30 years he chose to retire. He liked “dressed up” trucks that ran fast and had a good set of train horns. Lynn was a people person, enjoyed traveling, and loved his dog, Buddy.
Dwight Lynn Churchwell departed this life on Wednesday, May 12, at the age of 79 years, 5 months and 28 days.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia Churchwell of Crump; daughters, Anita Churchwell of Crump and Tina Churchwell of Adamsville; stepdaughter, Melissa Davidson of Savannah; and brother, Ricky Churchwell of Crump.
In addition to his parents, Lynn was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry L. Churchwell; and sister, Beverly June Churchwell Chambers.
Services will be held on Saturday, May 22, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Marcus Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Crump Cemetery at Crump.
