Tommy Gray (4-17-21) service 4-19-21

Tommy Gray was born Sept. 26, 1940, in Adamsville, the son of the late Thomas and Lois Hurley Gray.
He was united in marriage to Jimmie Kathryn Lipford on Aug. 12, 1961. Mrs. Gray preceded him in death on Dec. 29, 2015, following 54 years of marriage.
Mr. Gray was a 1959 graduate of Adamsville High School. He formerly worked as a foreman for Southern Central Company in Memphis, and retired from Lithograph in Memphis as a 4-color stripper. Riding 4-wheelers, watching “Gunsmoke” and other westerns, and spending time with family and friends were his favorite pastimes. Mr. Gray was a member of New Hope Fellowship Church in Adamsville.
Mr. Gray departed this life on Saturday, April 17, in Morris Chapel, at the age of 80 years, 6 months, 22 days.
He is survived by two sons, Anthony “Tony” Gray and wife Lisa of Morris Chapel and Tracy Gray of Enville; four grandchildren, Candice Land of Atoka, Tennessee, Angela Gayden and husband Scott of Bartlett, Tennessee, Rebekah Gray of Morris Chapel and Preston Gray of Enville; two great-grandchildren, Anthony Davis of Atoka, Tennessee and Michael Gayden of Bartlett, Tennessee; a brother, James Gray and wife Angelean of Savannah; a sister, Jean Griffith of Key West, Florida; and many extended family and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Gray was preceded in death by three sisters: Linda Gray Gibson, Helen Freeman and Jean Linville.
Services were held on Monday, April 19, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville with Roger Hubanks officiating. Burial followed at Mars Hill Cemetery, Adamsville.
