Dathan Young (4-6-21) service 4-16-21

Dathan Allen Young, 17, of Morris Chapel, died on Tuesday, April 6.
He was born in Savannah, the son of Heather McGarity Compton and Adam Young.
He lived in Hardin County all of his life.
He is survived by his parents, Heather Compton of Morris Chapel and Adam Young of Savannah; a brother, Addison Young of Savannah; a sister, Holly Young of Savannah; grandparents, Randy and Penny McGarity of Morris Chapel, Terry and Jimmy Johnson of Adamsville and Rabon Young of Savannah; and great-grandmother, Willie K. McGarity of Morris Chapel.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Marion McGarity, and Edward J. and Frances Seago.
Services were held on Friday, April 16, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Tony Polk officiating. Burial followed in Shady Hill Cemetery at Savannah.
