Leon Franklin (3-26-21) service 3-30-21

Leon Franklin, 86, of Savannah, died Friday, March 26, in Savannah.
He was born in Shamrock, Texas, the son of the late Elza and Effie Lee White Franklin. He was united in marriage to Reba Ruth Franks, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Franklin served his country in the United States Navy. After the military he worked in the janitorial profession. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and American Legion.
He is survived by his children, Roberta Winkler of Savannah, Rebecca Franklin of Savannah, Brenda Sullivan of Nashville and James Franklin of Savannah; grandson raised as a son, Christopher Franklin; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, Wayne Leon Franklin and Thomas Leon Franklin.
Services were held on Tuesday, March 30, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Charles Linam officiating. Burial followed in Centenary Cemetery at Lutts.
