Joan Ayers (3-3-21) service 3-7-21

Joan Miller Ayers, 76, of Savannah, died on Wednesday, March 3, in Jackson, Tennessee.
She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Watt and Marie Magdelene Melson Miller. She was united in marriage to William Alton Ayers, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Ayers was a member of Savannah Church of Christ in Savannah.
She is survived by her daughters, Tresa Henson and Rosanna Sharp, both of Savannah; sons, Jerry Ayers and Jody Ayers, both of Shiloh; sisters, Rosie Gray of Savannah and Diane Bates of North Carolina; brother, Arthur Miller of Savannah; 15 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, William Ayers; brothers, Earl Miller, Lonnie Miller, Jerry Miller and Alton Lee Miller; an infant sister; grandson, Rex Ayers; and a great-great-grandson.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, March 7, at Wesley’s Chapel Church Cemetery in Savannah with David Baker officiating.
