Mary “Susie” Mathis (2-24-21) service 2-27-21

Mary Gail “Susie” Mathis, 83, of Savannah, died on Wednesday, Feb. 24.
She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late George P. and Robbie Louise Caperton Brewer.
She had worked for Savannah Manufacturing.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Pickens of Adamsville; sons, Hubert Mathis Jr. of Newbern, Tennessee, James Mathis of Stout, Ohio, and Joe R. Mathis of Iuka, Mississippi; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert G. Brewer; and a daughter, Georgia Middleton.
Services were held on Saturday, Feb. 27, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah in Savannah with David Weatherford officiating. Burial followed in Graham Cemetery at Savannah.
