Mary Franks (2-10-21) service 2-13-21
Mary Helen Frazier Franks, of Olive Hill, was born in Lutts on March 17, 1936, the daughter of the late Hugh Buster and Mandy Josephine Perry Frazier.
On Oct. 28, 1956, she was united in marriage to Enus Franks, who preceded his wife in death on Dec. 18, 2001.
Mary had worked as a seamstress for the Wise Company for five years and Savannah Manufacturing. She attended Turkey Creek Union Church. Mary loved to play the guitar, sing gospel music and work with flowers. Her greatest love was spending time with her family.
Mary departed this life on Wednesday, Feb. 10, in Savannah at the age of 84 years, 10 months and 24 days.
She is survived by her children, Vivian Kirkpatrick, Tammie Turner, and Amanda Ferrell and her husband Jonathan, all of Savannah, and Jeff Franks and his wife Tracy of Olive Hill; grandchildren, Todd Ozment, Caleb Ozment, Bekah Ozment, Drew Franks, Nathan Franks, Bailey Ferrell and Eli Ferrell; great-grandchildren, Abby Franks, Talon Franks, Caelyn Ozment, Cadence Ozment, Cole Ozment and Atarah Geisler; sisters, Willie Ellen Kilburn of Savannah and Christine Victory of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; and brother, Anthony Frazier of Savannah.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by two sons, Dennis Edward Franks and Michael Wade Franks; two sisters, Mildred Vandiver and Laura Jean Hinton; and four brothers, Edward, Melvin, C.R. and Granville Frazier.
Services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 13, at 11 a.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Robert Howse and Todd Ozment officiating. Burial follow in Lutts Cemetery at Lutts.
