Dorothy Young (1-21-21) service 1-24-21

Dorothy Young, 93, of Savannah, died on Thursday, Jan. 21. She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late William Grady and Rosa Earl Godwin Reynolds. She was united in marriage to Ruben Earl Young, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Young was a caretaker and had worked at Brown Shoe Factory. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Marty Earl Young; a granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Rachel Reynolds Young. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Arlene Gail Young Treece; brothers, William Roy Reynolds, JR Reynolds, and Hubert Paul Reynolds; and sisters, JoAnn Reynolds Sutton and Mabel Reynolds Rich. Services were held on Sunday, Jan. 24, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Benny Taylor officiating. Burial followed in Mount Hermon Cemetery at Savannah.
