Roy Ponds (1-6-21) service 1-9-21

Roy Wayne Ponds, 75, of Adamsville, died on Wednesday, Jan. 6, in Jackson, Tennessee.
He was born in Atoka, Tennessee, the son of the late James Roy and Edna Smith Ponds.
He was raised by his loving uncle and aunt, Bill and Marie Smith. He was united in marriage to Glenda Staggs, who survives.
For most of his working life, Mr. Ponds was a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife Glenda Ponds of Adamsville; three sons, Criss Ponds of Adamsville, Kevin Nance of Ramer, Bryon Ponds of Lafayette, Tennessee; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a niece.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by aunt and uncle, Bill and Marie Smith; a daughter, Carol Ann Jaco; a sister, McNeva Creasy; and a grandson.
Services were held on Saturday, Jan. 9, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville with Glenn Miller officiating. Burial followed in Crump Cemetery.
