Sarah Franks (12-31-20) service 1-3-21

Sarah Evelyn Franks, 81, of Savannah, died on Thursday, Dec. 31, in Savannah.
She was born in Savannah, the daughter of the late Clyde A. and Bertha Melson Franks. She was united in marriage to Bennie E. Franks, who survives.
Mrs. Franks worked as a garment sewer at Clifton Manufacturing prior to her retirement. She was a member of Abrams Chapel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Bennie Franks of Savannah; daughters, Teresa Harville, Patsy Brown, Tammy Pipes and Pamela Burks, all of Savannah; son, Raymond Middleton of Savannah; stepdaughter, Bentia Hudgens of Savannah; stepson, Reed Franks of Savannah; sisters, Susie Wilson and Bertha Brooks; brothers, J.C. Franks, Clyde Franks Jr. and Bill Franks; 18 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tanya Middleton; brother, James L. Franks; and one great-grandchild.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, Jan. 3, at Germany Branch Cemetery in Savannah with Daniel Holt and Herman G. Franks officiating.
