Ernestine Lay (11-28-20)

Ernestine Lay, 83, of Memphis, died on Saturday, Nov. 28.
She was born in Adamsville, the daughter of the late Ernest and Alene Thrasher Coats. She was united in marriage to Charles Lay, who survives.
Ernestine was affectionately referred to as “Teenie” by those closest to her. She lived most of her life in Memphis and was a secretary for National Mortgage Company. She was a member of Peace Tree United Methodist Church in Collierville, Tennessee.
In addition to her husband Charles, she is survived by her sons, Lee Charles Lay and William Tracy Lay; a brother, Jerry Coats; and five grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Christine Magsig.
