Martha Ingle (11-21-20) service 11-24-20

Martha Lou Nixon Ingle, of Savannah, was born in McNairy County on April 1, 1941, the daughter of Dewey and Velvie Pounds Nixon. On May 11, 1978, she was united in marriage to William Boyd Ingle who preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 2018.
Martha worshipped with Southside Baptist Church in Savannah, where she was a member for 40 years. She was also a loyal employee of Garan Manufacturing in Adamsville for 25 years, working as a supervisor. Martha enjoyed just being outside but especially working in her flower beds. Shopping was another great pleasure of hers, but her greatest love was reserved for her family and her church family.
Martha Lou Nixon Ingle departed this life on Saturday, Nov. 21, at the age of 79 years, 7 months and 20 days.
She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter, Gina Barnes and her husband Freddy of Savannah; her stepdaughter, Denise Pipkins and her husband Tony, also of Savannah; her brother, Virgil Nixon of Adamsville; her grandson, Justin Farris; and her great-grandson, Jaxx Farris, whom she loved dearly.
Other than her husband and parents, Martha was preceded in death by her sister, Clara Bailey; her half-sister, Fleeta Humphries; and her half-brother, Jim Nixon.
Services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Benny Taylor officiating. Burial followed in Memory Gardens at Savannah.
