Donald Minard (11-21-20) service 11-28-20

Donald Carlin Minard, of Sardis, was born on Feb. 6, 1949, in Wild Rose, Wisconsin, the son of the late Reynolds James and Dorothy Belle Cain Minard.
On Jan. 8, 1974, he was united in marriage to Bonnie Taylor Minard, who preceded her husband in death on Nov. 23, 2003.
Mr. Minard honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was formerly employed by Gary’s Escorts in Savannah, Kilgore in Toone, Tennessee, and A&G Trucking Escorts in Savannah. He loved to fish and to fix anything mechanical.
Donald Carlin Minard departed this life on Saturday, Nov. 21, in Sardis, at the age of 71 years, 9 months and 15 days.
He is survived by his daughter, Abbee DeCol of Lake Havasu, Arizona; sons, Robert “Bobby” Minard and Michael Minard, both of West Salem, Wisconsin and DelRay Minard of Jackson, Tennessee; sister, Dorise Stuessy of Michie; brother, Harold Minard of Savannah; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandson; special friend, Betty Webster of Sardis, and her daughter, Kim Pinson.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert James Minard.
Services were held on Saturday, Nov. 28, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville in Adamsville with Dennis Usner officiating. Burial followed in Lake Hill Memorial Gardens at Bethel Springs.
