Ruby Mae Stricklin (11-6-20) service 11-10-20

Ruby Mae Melson Stricklin, of Savannah, departed this life on Friday, Nov. 6, at the age of 88 years, 9 months and 14 days.
She was born in Wayne County on Jan. 23, 1932, the daughter of the late Thomas C. and Mattie Mae Moiser Melson. On Aug. 30, 1952, she was united in marriage to John D. Stricklin, who preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 1988.
Ruby Mae had lived most of her life in Hardin County and was a member of River Heights Pentecostal Church in Crump. She loved gardening, flowers, and everything to do with the outdoors.
Ruby Mae is survived by her children, George Thomas Stricklin and his wife Sharon of Greenfield, Tennessee, Jane Jarrett of Savannah, Billy Joe Stricklin and his wife Ramona of North Dakota, Frances Yvette Pigg and her husband Eddie of Linden, Tennessee, Jim Franklin Stricklin and his wife Pam of Savannah, Bobby Wayne Stricklin of Adamsville and Julia Kaye Overfelt and her husband Jock of Rocky Mount, Virginia; grandchildren, Jamie Stricklin, Meagan Stricklin, Mark Jarrett, Jonathan Jarrett, Rachel Brenot, Matthew Jarrett, Blake Stricklin, Chelsea Bohannon, Taylor Stricklin, Edward Pigg, Christopher Stricklin, Joshua Stricklin, Sarah Grace Barnes and Kaylie Barnes; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Ruby Mae was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Thoman, Harrison, Chester, Roy, Clyde and Clarence Melson; sisters, Marie Miller, Lena Morris, Mattie Ayers, and infant sister Emma Melson; grandchild, Joshua Eric Jarrett; and great-grandchildren, Sailor Jarrett and Aurora Jewel Jarrett.
Services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m., at River Heights Pentecostal Church in Crump with Michael Gibbs officiating. Burial followed in Wilkerson Cemetery in Savannah.
