Brenda Gail Stephens (10-15-20)

Brenda Gail Stephens, age 69 years, 289 days, departed this life on Thursday, Oct. 15.
Brenda was born on Dec. 23, 1950, in Chattanooga. She was the daughter of the late Paul Leonard Stephens and Allie Mae Mitchell Stephens of Selmer.
One of the first jobs Brenda had was a telephone operator in Memphis. She also worked in the manufacturing home business for many years. She started as secretary and moved up to be one of, if not the first female sales representatives for Clayton Homes. She acquired a reputation of being honest and forthright with her dealers and customers; as a result she became top sales person at Clayton Homes for many years.
It was always so easy for Brenda to become your friend. She loved and cared for friends as if they were family. Her siblings, especially Patsy and Peggy, were extremely close. There wasn’t anything they would not do for each other.
Brenda’s legacy would have to be the endless love for all her family, especially her grandchildren that hung the moon!
Ms. Stephens is survived by her son, Chad Gray and wife Demetric of Savannah; seven grandchildren, Corey Gray, Tristan Gray, Silas Gray, Acie Gray, Damon Gray, Kelly Ernest and Stephen Wilbanks; one great-grandchild, Bryson Gray; four sisters, Betty Rogers, Katy Redmon, Patsy Stephens and Peggy Richardson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Amanda Ervin Wilbanks; and two brothers, Bobby and Eddie Stephens.
