Claudia Wilson (10-9-20) service 10-13-20

Claudia Jo Abrams Wilson, of Savannah, was born in Hardin County on Aug. 23, 1931, the daughter of the late Claude McFagan and Mamie Wilkerson Abrams.
On March 25, 1966, she was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Freeman Wilson, who preceded his wife in death on July 30, 1970.
Claudia worked as a seamstress for Dillion Manufacturing for several years and later for Angelica Manufacturing, where she later retired. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Savannah. Claudia enjoyed word search puzzles, sewing, crocheting, embroidering, canning and gardening. She was an excellent cook and loved being outdoors working with her flowers.
She departed this life on Friday, Oct. 9, in Cordova, Tennessee at the age of 89 years, 1 month and 16 days.
Claudia is survived by her daughter, Susan Bedwell Simmons and her husband Wilburn of Cordova, Tennessee; and one granddaughter, Amanda Rose Simmons.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Nadene Abrams; and one brother, Ovid Abrams.
Services were held on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Wilburn Simmons officiating. Burial followed in Memory Gardens at Savannah.
