Billy Roy Beckham (9-26-20) service 10-3-20

Billy Roy Beckham, 85, of Collinwood, died on Saturday, Sept. 26.
He was born in Wayne County, the son of the late Alvin and Ima Elizabeth Beckham. He was united in marriage to his beloved Mary Elizabeth Beckham, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Beckham lived in Chicago, Illinois for over 42 years and retired from Western Electric after working there for 30 years. He and his wife Lib also owned an Amoco Service Station and Beckham Enterprises Trucking, Inc. during 20 of their years in Chicago. He was a member of Houston Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Ruiz of Detroit, Michigan; two granddaughters; brother, Glen Beckham of Collinwood; three sisters, Betty Jean Sherrill of Waynesboro, Kathryn Dement of Olive Hill, Shirley Robinson of Gallatin, Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sons, Roy Howard Beckham and Billy Ray Beckham; and his brother Alvin Beckham Jr.
Graveside funeral services were held on Saturday, Oct. 3, at 11 a.m., at Mt. Hebron Cemetery, Collinwood.
