Friday’s HCHS homecoming parade route shortened

Due to COVID-19, the 2020 homecoming parade will look differently than in years past, Hardin County High School Principal Wesley Wilkerson announced.
“As we all know, our number one priority is every student’s safety, so we will be shortening the parade route this school year,” said Wilkerson.
The 2020 homecoming parade takes place Friday, Oct. 2, at 10 a.m.
Senior student drivers and homecoming royalty will meet at the Tennessee Street Park overflow parking area across from First Cumberland Presbyterian Church by 9:30 a.m.
The parade begins at Savannah City Hall, turns right onto Main Street and finishes downtown at the Farmers Market. When senior drivers reach the downtown Farmers Market, they are free to leave.
