Jo Moore Martin, of Adamsville, departed this life on Thursday, Sept. 17, at the age of 78 years, 11 months and 26 days.
She was born in Sweet Lips, Tennessee on Sept. 22, 1941, the daughter of the late Eathel and Georgie Carl Melton Moore.
Jo grew up in Enville and was a member of Enville Methodist Church. In addition to Enville, she had also lived in Milledgeville and Adamsville. She had worked for Garan Manufacturing, Tri-County Convalescent Home, and retired from Aqua Glass. Jo was known as a loving person that always put her family first. She knew who her Savior was and her faith in God was great.
Jo is survived by her sons, Greg “Bubba” Martin and his wife Janice of Adamsville and Randy Martin and his wife Mary of Savannah; grandchildren, Kasey Blankenship and her husband Chase, Sarah Jane Martin, Abby Jo Mabry and her husband Blaine, Candice Hopper and her husband Ben, Colton Bridges, Mitchell Bridges, Miranda Armstrong and her husband Zack, Shelby Martin, and Mia Martin; great-grandchildren, Braxton McSwain, Della Hopper, Carson Armstrong and Camden Armstrong; sisters, Janice Maness and her husband Harold of Finger and Maxiene Crowell and her husband Bobby Nelson of Humboldt, Tennessee.
Along with her parents, Jo was preceded in death by a grandson, Clinton Wayne Martin.
Services were held on Monday, Sept. 21, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville with Scott Melson officiating. Burial followed in Milledgeville Cemetery at Milledgeville.
