Joe Patrick Crotts, 79, of Gas City, Indiana, died on Friday, July 10, at Marion General Hospital. He was born in Savannah, to the late Joe and Kate Crotts. He married Peggy Hanley, who survives. Mr. Crotts worked in maintenance at Owens-Illinois for 18 years at Paris Governor, and in the oil field as an electrician. He retired as a self-employed mechanic for over 30 years. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge and American Veterans. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Crotts of Gas City, Indiana; sons, Joe Crotts Jr., of Marion and Greg Crotts of Gas City; daughter, Lauren Crotts of Gas City; Gage Lahr and Page Smith; two grandchildren; great-granddaughter; brother, John Crotts of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; as well as several brothers and sisters.
