Hardin County Health Department now offering COVID-19 tests by appointment

The Hardin County Health Department has begun offering free COVID-19 testing by appointment to help cut the possible wait time to be seen.
Call the Health Department clinic at 731-925-2557 to make an appointment.
The tests, whether scheduled or unscheduled, are now done from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Monday through Friday at the Health Department at 1920 Pickwick St. in Savannah.
Health Department nurses collect nasal swabs to send to the lab for the COVID-19 test. A person does not have to live in Hardin County to be tested at the Health Department. Those who come for testing should be prepared to isolate themselves at home while awaiting their test results, and will be given information on what to expect after their test.

Those tested for COVID-19 should be prepared to share their contact information so Health Department staff can provide their test results. Everyone tested will be given further instructions to protect their health and the health of those around them.
Tennessee’s Coronavirus Public Information Lines are open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., daily at 833-556-2476 or 877-857-2945.
