Davis: Watch out for solicitors posing as Hardin County Schools employees
Hardin County Director of Schools Michael Davis said Wednesday night he has received reports of solicitors knocking on doors of local homes with children and identifying themselves as employees of Hardin County Schools.
Apparently, they’re asking to inspect the home’s internet connection to verify connectivity in case the child has to distance learn via internet, and some are selling what they call “approved texts” for the upcoming school year.
Davis said there are no Hardin County Schools employees going door-to-door. He urges that anyone who encounters such a situation call 911 and report the incident.
Got your message. Thank you for alerting us so quickly.
Thank you for alerting the community. We appreciate the great job you & the entire school are doing amid a dangerous pandemic to keep our children, grandchildren & all HCS employees safe. God bless.
