Mary Godwin (6-18-20)

Mary Dean Godwin, 92, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Thursday, June 18.

She was the daughter of Frank and Lillie Mae Conway Christian. She was united in marriage to Billy Frye Godwin, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Godwin was a homemaker and a seamstress who made most of the clothing for her family. She was a devout Christian who was a member of Gospel Chapel.

She is survived by  her sons, Clark Godwin and Mark Godwin; her sisters, Mabel Pulley, Robbie Ann Provins, and Yvonne Gregory; her brother, Paul Edward Christian; and her  five grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Douglas Christian and Johnnie Saltzgiver.

Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka is entrusted with arrangements.  Services were held at  Noon on June 22 at Oak Grove Cemetery, officiated by Bro. Mike Hunt. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
