Mary “Nannie” Neill (5-25-20)

Mary Elizabeth Shutt Neill, better known as Nannie, 94, of Savannah, died Monday, May 25.
She was born in Hardin County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late John Wesley Shutt and Alma Blount Shutt. She was united in marriage to Loyd T. Neill, who preceded her in death.
Nannie retired from Brown Shoe Company with over 40 years of service. She was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her children Gale Mitchell, Tony Neill, JoAnne Arendall, and Craig Neill; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband of 52 years, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ella Lois Rhea, Lessie Jean Whitlow, Nell Glean Neill,  Winnie Gall Calloway; and one brother, Wesley Malone Shutt.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to First CP Presbyterian Youth or a charity of your choice. A Graveside Service was held on May 30 at Neill Cemetery in Savannah with Helen Hamilton officiating.
