Betty Reece (5-21-20)

Betty Riley Reece was born April 21, 1939 in Paragould, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Carl Thomas and Mary Smith Riley.
She was united in marriage to Ernest Reece on Sept. 11, 1959.
Mrs. Reece was a beautiful and wonderful wife, mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She was a great woman who loved her family deeply, caring for her parents, aunts, uncles, and others when needed.  She was all this and much more.  Mrs. Reece was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and formerly participated in the kitchen and bus ministries at First Assembly of God in Memphis.
Mrs. Reece departed this life on May 21, in Savannah at the age of 81 Years, one month.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ernest Reece of Guys, Tennessee; two daughters, Amanda Sullivan of Munford, Tennessee, and Amy (Reece) Talley and husband Michael of Collierville, Tennessee; a son, Ernest Jeffrey Reece of Guys; seven grandchildren, Melissa and spouse Christina, Amber and spouse Derrick, Jonathon and spouse Patrick, Matthew, Raven, Joseph, and Chandler; six great-grandchildren: Riley, Tyler, Brentlee, Kadence, Jessa Grace, and Meredith; a brother, John Riley of Moscow, Tennessee; and many extended family and friends.
Services were held May 24, at 3 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer with Danny Adkisson officiating. Burial followed in the New Hope Cemetery at Michie, Tennessee.
