Faye Cunningham (4-6-20)
Faye Cunningham was born in Belmont, Mississippi on Jan. 13, 1941, the daughter of the late Charles Grady and Leora Cummings Flurry.
On Oct. 11, 1958, she was united in marriage to Rufus Dwayne Cunningham, who survives.
Faye was a homemaker and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her passion was taking care of the family, and one of her greatest joys was being involved with and doing things for her grandchildren. If you knew her, you knew she loved God, her church, and church family with all her heart. Faye loved attending the grandchildren’s events, reading her Bible, gospel singings, decorating, and traveling to many places in and around the United States. She was blessed to travel to Israel twice and enjoyed many trips with the Senior Saints. If Faye was your friend she was with you through thick and thin. She also loved her dog Harley.
Faye departed this life on Monday, April 6, in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 79 years, 2 months and 24 days.
In addition to her husband of 61 years, Dwayne of Savannah; she is survived by her two children, Keith Wayne Cunningham of Savannah, and Dawana Faye Dupree and her husband Joey of Savannah; grandchildren, Ceria Lynn Cunningham of Savannah; Kayla Deleigh Dewberry and her husband Ryan of Ripley, Mississippi, Jayden Frank Dupree of Clarksville, Tennessee and Dakota Kyle Milliken of Savannah; niece, Debbie Davis Dockery and her husband David and their son Dalton, whom she loved like a grandchild; and cousin, Randy Livingston and his family, all of Savannah.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Kirk Allen Cunningham; and one sister, Freeda Mae Davis.
