Martha White (3-22-20)

Martha P. Wheeler White, 91, of Counce, was born on Aug. 3, 1928, in Big Creek, Calhoun County, Mississippi, to the late Foster B. Jr. and Verda P. Delaney Wheeler.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles W. Wheeler of Phoenix, Arizona and Billy M. Wheeler of Guys, Tennessee.
Martha attended high school in Shiloh. She was joined in marriage to William Edward White on Sept. 16, 1946, and he preceded his wife in death on Sept. 30, 1990.
The couple had two children, Donna Lynn and Kathy Ann Draper who preceded them in death and two surviving children and their spouses, Linda Gail Matlock and husband Rickey of Ramer and Timothy Edward White and wife Marilyn of Savannah. She is survived by three granddaughters and their spouses, Rita and Phillip West, Renee and Brian Bargas, and Robin and Hunter Kiestler plus five great-grandchildren, Will Bargas, Case Bargas, Raegan Bargas, Halle Kiestler and Harper Kiestler.
Martha was a devoted wife and full time mother and homemaker who worked to raise and take care of her family in a Godly household. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Counce for 81 years and served as the Sunday school secretary for 47 years. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and doing jig-saw puzzles and word search puzzles.
Martha loved her family and taught them with motherly love and guidance all of her days.
Martha departed this life peacefully on Sunday, March 22, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Ramer.
