Shiloh National Military Park announces partial closure

Tennessee Monument at Shiloh Park

Shiloh National Military Park said Tuesday evening its visitor centers and book stores are closing effective March 18 to promote social distancing as recommended by medical experts in light of the spread of coronavirus.
The closings affect the park’s facilities at both Shiloh Battlefield in Hardin County and the Corinth Civil War Interpretive Center in Corinth, Mississippi.
Outdoor areas of Shiloh National Military Park, which include the Shiloh Battlefield Unit, Shiloh Indian Mounds National Historic Landmark, the Corinth Battlefield Unit, and the Corinth Contraband Camp, will remain open.
“The health and safety of our visitors, employees, volunteers, and partners at Shiloh National Military Park is our number one priority,” the park said in a news release.
