Mitch Crawford (2-13-20)

Mitch Crawford, of Adamsville, was born on May 7, 1956, in Winchester, Indiana, the son of the late Joseph Albert and Myrna Speakman Crawford. On Nov. 5, 1977, he was united in marriage to Penny Jane Lee, who survives.
Mr. Crawford honorably served his county in the United States Marine Corps from June 26, 1974 to Nov. 27, 1979. He earned the rank of Sergeant in the Marine Corps and was very proud of his service. He later went to work as a mechanical engineer for Pyramid Hotel Group in Boston, Massachusetts until his retirement. Mitch was a member of National Rifle Association and American Legion in Clearwater, Florida. He loved going to NASCAR races, fishing, boating, and watching the Indiana Colts.
Mitch Crawford departed this life on Thursday, Feb. 13, in Savannah, at the age of 63 years, 9 months and 6 days.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Penny Crawford of Adamsville; daughters, Tanda Miles and her husband Jerry of Adamsville, Myrna Gabbard and her husband Tim of Edinburgh, Indiana, and Emilee Croom and her husband David of Clearwater, Florida; brother, Tony Crawford and his wife Terri of Cocoa Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Kari Gabbard, Macie Gabbard, Tryston Crawford, Baylee Higgs, Elyzabeth Gabbard, Jada Croom, Katelyn Miles, Meykinna Crawford, Colby Croom, Jaylin Ridgway and Aidyn Miles; great-grandchildren, Harper Denton and Nevaeh-Grace; and his mother in law, Eunice Lee of Adamsville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Curtis Crawford.
