James David Gardner (2-9-20) service 2-23-20

James David Gardner, 82, of Crump, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 9.
He was born April 16, 1937, son of the late Loni Johnson and James W. Gardner.
He owned Gardner’s Bait and Tackle in Crump for 30 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years.
He is survived by his wife, Madeline Lundquist Gardner of Crump; children, Wylie Gardner of Crump, Amy (Andrew) Welch of Adamsville, and Laura (David) Pickett of Memphis; grandchildren, Eric Gardner and Jason Gardner, both of Oregon; Nicolas (Courtnie) Welch of Morris Chapel, Brian Welch of Adamsville, Rebekah Pickett and Hannah Pickett, both of Memphis; two great-grandchildren, Sawyer Gardner and Devon Gardner; brother, Billie (Carmen) Gardner of Adamsville; and sister, Martha (William) Sloan of Hendersonville, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Gardner; and a sister, Thelma Gardner.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Feb. 23, at 6 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church, 207 Tennessee St., Savannah, with Larry Rich officiating and Jerry Carr singing.
