Peter Ward (12-31-19)
Peter Patrick Ward was born Oct. 23, 1946, in Nahma, Michgan, to the union of the late William August and Lorain Nevada Maynard Ward. He was united in marriage to Faye White on May 3, 1989.
Mr. Ward was a producer/director of training films for U.S. Customs, a U.S. Navy Veteran and a former employee of Terry White Trucking. Over the years, Mr. Ward made his home in Garden, Michigan; Brunswick, Georgia; Washington, D.C.; Memphis; and Savannah.
Mr. Ward departed this life on Tuesday, Dec. 31, in Savannah, making his stay in this life some 73 years, 2 months and 8 days.
He is survived by his wife, Faye White Ward of Savannah; four sons, Steven Ward of Athens, Alabama, Patrick Ward of Warwick, Rhode Island, Chad Schike of Savannah, Destin Clarkson of Charleston, South Carolina; two daughters, Laura Ward of Griffin, Georgia, Candyce Ward of Griffin, Georgia; a brother, Monty Ward of Michigan; four sisters, Sonja Ward of Flint, Michigan, Mary LaLonde of Melbourne, Florida, Linda Cota of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Deanna Tatrow of Garden, Michigan; nine grandchildren, Dane Rowlette, Kylie Rowlette, Brandon Rowlette, Sara Ward, Kera Knight, Lauren Gallant, Layla Ward, Mason Ward, Elleigh Ward; 12 great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Lilly, Lakelynn, Cody, Scarlette, Kelsey, Kleanna, Emily, Micah, Natalie, Kierstin and Tucker.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Ward was preceded in death by four sisters, Norma Holub, Amber Hill, Faye Ward, Krystal Ward; a brother, Bernie Barnie; and a grandchild, Gavin.
He will be cremated per his request with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisting the family.
