Jimmy James “Jimbo” Rippy, 91, of Savannah, died on Saturday, Dec. 21, in Savannah.
He was born in Benton County, Tennessee, the son of the late John Wesley and Lillie Bell Conder Rippy.
Mr. Rippy was self-employed in logging.
He is survived by his children, Dorothy DeShazier, Doris Plunk, Betty Tarkington, Linda Eliff and Billy Rippy, all of Savannah; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Gary Rippy; one grandchild; several brothers and sisters; and the mother of his children, Mary Lois Rippy.
