Jarvis Keith White, of Savannah, departed this life on Wednesday, Dec. 18, at the age of 61 years, 10 months and 22 days.
He was born in Savannah on Jan. 26, 1958, the son of Joyce Smith White and the late Robert Weak White Jr. On Aug. 27, 2019, he was united in marriage to Sharleen Williams, who survives.
Jarvis was an electrician and had worked for Design Team for 10 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, a wonderful husband, father and grandfather; he loved his grandkids more than anything else in the world. He was a great mechanic and spent his time working on engines and tractors. Jarvis was a member of West Tennessee Old Iron, a tractor club. He was creative and loved working on projects with his family.
He is survived his wife, Sharleen White of Savannah. Jarvis is survived by his children, Blake White and his wife Beth of Savannah, Kristy Hunter of Counce, Shelby Cole and her husband Jason, and Samantha Fox and her husband Matt, all of Savannah; grandchildren, Brianna Wright, Maggie White, Sophie White, David White, Kinsley Cole, Brantley Cole, Julianna Fox and Emmalyn Fox, all of Savannah; great-grandchildren, Jayden Sparks and Justus Sparks, both of Savannah; mother, Joyce White of Savannah; brothers, Terry White and his wife Tina of Savannah and Greg White and his wife René of Decatur, Alabama; and his sister, Pamela White of Savannah.
Along with his father, Jarvis was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brittney Rose Benson.
Services were held on Saturday, Dec. 21, at 3 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Jimmy McGee and Nathan Rickman officiating. Burial followed in Centenary Cemetery at Lutts.
