Valerie Williams (11-3-19)

Valerie Garza Williams, of Collierville, Tennesse, formerly of Counce, passed from this life on Sunday, Nov. 3, at Regional One Health Medical Center in Memphis.
She was born on April 18, 1980, and had lived in the Pickwick area prior to moving to Collierville three years ago.
She loved to bake and decorate cakes, she was the former owner of VallyCakes in Counce.  Valerie was well known for her pumpkin rolls. She enjoyed cooking large meals for her friends and family. After moving to Collierville, she worked in the restaurant business until her recent illness. Valerie loved helping people. Anytime a friend or neighbor was in need, she was always ready to lend a helping hand. She also had a great love for animals especially Bogie.
Her greatest loves were her two children, Matt and Anna Williams of Hendersonville, Tennessee.
Valerie leaves behind her children Matt and Anna Williams, a grandfather, Epifanio (John) Garza and uncles  Randy Garza and Chris Frazier of Counce, Nanny Kim Stanley Berry and Ricky (Mr. B) of Savannah, a brother, Jared Stamps of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, another uncle and aunt, Ricky and Charlotte Garza of Franklinton, Louisiana, a great aunt, Evelyn Morris of Lutts, and cousin, Nick Stokke of Savannah.
Valerie also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends, and a special friend, Mark Wilkins of Collierville, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Amy Garza, her grandparents Annie Sue Garza, Jessie Davis and Beverly Davis, a brother Jesse Garza, her aunt, Rene Garza Stokke Frazier, her great uncle, Aaron Morris.
Having professed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, she was of the Christian faith.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16, at 1 p.m., at  Second Creek Church of Christ in Savannah with David Rushlow officiating.
