Edward Lawson (11-8-19) service 11-12-19

Edward Lawson, 90, of Savannah, died on Friday, Nov. 8.
He was born in Merrimac, West Virginia, the son of the late Julius Levi and Noka Lambert Lawson. He was united in marriage to Frances Roberts, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Lawson had worked for LTV Steel in Counce for more than 20 years. He had transferred from Cal-Metal in Torrance, California, where he had worked for 10 years. He was a member of Savannah Church of God and served as deacon for more than 20 years.
He is survived by his children, Pam Wilkes and Christy Harrison, both of Savannah; three grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Julius “Junior” Lawson of Kentucky and Rick Lawson of North Carolina; and sister, Peggy Thompson of Michigan.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his two grandchildren; brothers, Homer Lawson, James Lawson, Bill Lawson and Larry Lawson; and sister, Georgie Rife.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to  Savannah Church of God Building Fund, 1145 Pinhook Road, Savannah, Tennessee  38372.
Services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at Church of God in Savannah with Chad Balentine officiating. Burial followed in Neill Cemetery at Savannah.
