Tracy Bryan Jones of Savannah was born on Jan. 30, 1966, in Florence, Alabama, to Loudean Shilling and the late Coon Jones.
He departed this life on Monday, Oct. 28, at Hardin Medical Center at the age of 53 years.
On April 8, 1989, he was united in marriage to Shanna Highland. He worked in the log woods for 25 years. In his early career, he spent many days on the river diving for mussels.
Tracy was a loving husband, father, but his favorite title was Papaw.
In addition to his loving wife, Shanna, he is survived by his children, Brittney Miller (Chris) of Oxford, Alabama, Cody Jones, Keshia Jones and Ryan Jones, all of Savannah; grandchildren, Wesley Jones and Britleigh Miller, and baby William Gentry, due in December; sister, Leslie Jones; brothers, Joey Jones, Corey Jones and Keith White; and special friend, Chad Ingle.
Pallbearers were Cody Jones, Ryan Jones, Jamie Highland, Cole Highland, Chad Ingle and Shannon Sharp. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Billy Lard, Joey Jones, Corey Jones, Benji Odom, Frankie Taylor and Clown Ingle.
Services were held at Second Creek Church of Christ on Saturday, Nov. 2, at 1 p.m., with David Highland and David Rushlow officiating. Burial was at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Waterloo.
