Eltie Austin (11-2-19) service 11-5-19

Eltie Lee Austin, of Savannah, was born in Hardin County on Oct. 21, 1938, the daughter of the late Deck and Rosie May Austin.
She was a member of Mt. Zion Church of Christ.  Ms. Austin retired from Cross Country Apparel after working there for approximately 10 years.
Ms. Austin was a joyful homemaker who loved to laugh. She enjoyed going out to eat, shopping and going to yard sales.  Most of all, she was a Christian woman who loved everyone.  She loved being with her family, church family, and all of her friends and neighbors.
On Saturday, Nov. 2, Ms. Austin departed this life at the age of 81 years and 12 days.
She is survived by four daughters, Freda Davis and her husband Billy, Patricia Nelson and her husband Charlie, and Connie Garrard all of Savannah, and Patty Jones and her husband Roger of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Jennifer Fielder, Christy Shook, Misty Moore, Tabitha Ervin and Angela Foreman; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ray Dean Austin of Savannah.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Austin was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Benson; grandson, Jason Davis; three sisters, Dolly Fischback, Lucy Tidwell and Jean Cummings;  and two brothers, Perry Austin and Dalton Austin.
Services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 1 p.m., at Walnut Grove Church of Christ in Savannah with Gilbert Gough officiating. Burial followed in Walnut Grove Cemetery at Savannah.
