Jewell White (8-29-19) service 8-31-19

Jewell E. White was born in Wayne County on Nov. 3, 1923, the daughter of the late Dan and Ida Beatrice Franks Irvin. On April 12, 1941, she was united in marriage to Grady Edward White, who preceded her in death in 1965.
Jewell departed this life on Thursday, Aug. 29, at the age of 95 years, 9 months and 26 days.
Jewell lived in Hardin County most of her life. She attended Robertson Chapel United Methodist Church and was a member of Hardin Medical Center Volunteer Auxiliary. Sewing, quilting, gardening, mowing her yard, and watching television were some of her favorite things to do.
Jewell is survived by her daughter, Jean Blackstock of Savannah; grandchild, Charles Wilkerson and wife Loretta of Savannah; great-grandchildren, Kyle Wilkerson and wife Faith of Savannah and Leah Howe and husband Steven of Sedalia, Kentucky; and great-great-grandchildren, Asher and Ila Howe of Sedalia, Kentucky and Savannah, Braxton and Zaylee Wilkerson of Savannah.
In addition to her husband and parents, Jewell was preceded in death by her daughter, Patsy Ann Wilkerson; sisters, Ruie Reynolds and Hazel Baugus; brothers, Walter Irvin, Jack Irvin and Dee Irvin; grandchild, William Grady Hanna; and son-in-law, Joe Blackstock.
Services were held on Saturday, Aug. 31, at 11 a.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Jason Estes officiating. Burial followed inĀ  Memory Gardens at Savannah.
