Hershel Lott (8-8-19) service 8-11-19

Hershel Junior Lott, 92, of Crump, died on Thursday, Aug. 8.
He was born in McNairy County, the son of the late Orbie H. and Daisy B. Plunk Lott. He was united in marriage to Dona Jean Smith, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Lott served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He retired from Brown Shoe Company and then went to work for himself hanging sheetrock. He was a member of the Library Club and American Legion.
He is survived by his children, Henry L. Lott of Adamsville, Linda Dyann Moore of Savannah, Sammie H. Lott of Adamsville and Susan Gean of Savannah; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Faye Grooms of Memphis and Wilmanell Hughes of Lawton, Tennessee; and a niece.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Effie Mae Clenney and Mary Ruth Hamm; and brothers, Marshall Lott, Raymon Lott and Hugh Ray Lott.
Services were held on Sunday, Aug. 11, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with David Highland officiating. Burial followed in the Crump Cemetery at Crump.
