Pickup crashes into Counce tavern, two airlifted

A pickup truck crashed into the 3 Way Hawg Bar in Counce on Wednesday morning, injuring both occupants of the vehicle.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said Pamela C. McCasland, 56, of Crump, was driving the 2012 Chevrolet pickup truck which hit the building.
McCasland was traveling south on Tenn. 142, approaching the intersection of Tenn. 57. The vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection and crossed over Tenn. 57. The pickup then struck a street sign and went airborne crossing a roadside ditch.
The front of the vehicle hit the front of the tavern, coming to rest inside the building.
McCasland and passenger Kelly M. Haggard, 50, of Savannah, were both airlifted for treatment. Neither had been wearing a seat belt.
The THP did not list alcohol or drugs as factors in the crash and no charges were filed.
