Terry Parrish (7-29-19) service 8-1-19

Terry Parrish, 82, of Savannah, died on Monday, July 29.
He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Pope and Mamie Terry Parrish. He was united in marriage to Dottie Godwin, who survives.
Terry retired from truck driving. He had also drove a school bus, ran the ferry at Pickwick Dam, and was a commercial fisherman for several years.
In addition to his wife Dottie Parrish of Savannah, he is survived by his children, Michael Parrish, Jeffrey Parrish, Melva Boyd, all of Savannah, and Gloria Matejka of Adamsville; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and sister, Elizabeth Parrish.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Billy Parrish, Beatie Mae Adams, Earline Cummings, Louise Pickens and an infant brother.
Services were held on Thursday, Aug. 1, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah with Eric Smith and Grant Pavy officiating. Burial followed in Mount Hermon Cemetery at Savannah.
