Kenneth “Kenny” Roberts (7-22-19) service 7-27-19

Kenneth “Kenny” Lewis Roberts, 74, of Savannah, died on Monday, July 22, at Savannah Health Care.
Funeral service was held at Counce First Baptist Church on Saturday, July 27, at 11 a.m., officiated by Jimmie McChristial and Tony Polk. Interment at Wesley’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites.
Mr. Roberts was born Aug. 26, 1944. He was a welding instructor. He was of Baptist faith and was a member of First Baptist Church Counce.
He was owner of R&R  Porcelain Company and was a District 7 Volunteer Fireman and First Responder. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member and past Master of Savannah Lodge 102.   Kenny was also a Shiloh Baptist Disaster Relief Team Worker, member of Local Union 477 Iron Workers and a Pickwick Shriner.  He was a commercial fisherman and  also was mussel fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of  55 years,  Betty Hardin Roberts of Savannah; son, Christopher Hardin Roberts of Savannah; daughters,  Becka Austin (Kevin)  of Savannah, and Phan Lam Nguyen (Tan) of Marrero, Lousiana; grandchildren,  Paul Nguyen, Liz Nguyen, David Nguyen, Timothy Nguyen, Molly Austin, Nate Austin and Patrick Austin; sister, Kaye Hanson of Florence, South Carolina; and other relatives and a host of friends.
Pallbearers were Keith Umphrey, Dennis Wood, Jimmy Welch, Donny Howard, Derek Howard and Justin Wood.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis E. Roberts; mother, Lola Austin Roberts; and brother-in-law, Gary Hanson.
