Hubert Hunt (7-22-19) service 7-25-19

Hubert Sam Hunt, 86, of Savannah, died on Monday, July 22.
He was born in Ridgely, Tennessee, the son of the late James Laden and Bessie Lillian Mills Hunt. He was united in marriage to Ada Marie Dickey, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Hunt attended First Assembly of God Church and was ordained into the United Christian Church and Ministerial Association. In his lifetime, he worked various jobs in Kalamazoo, Michigan for four years, for the St. Louis Car Company in St. Louis, Missouri for nine years, and for various towboat companies for 55 years while living in Savannah.
He is survived by his daughters, Judy Hunt Rich, Sandra Hunt Bonee and Peggy Hunt Morris, all of Savannah; sisters, Bonnie Braswell and Opal Baxter, both of Savannah;  10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughters, Margie Hunt White and Carol Jo Hunt Collins; brothers, Charles Laden (L.C.) Hunt, Howard Odell Hunt and Bobby Joe Hunt; sisters, Myrtle Hunt Baxter, Bertha L.V. Hunt Harville, and Betty Sue Hunt Killough; and one granddaughter.
Services were held on Thursday, July 25, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Scott Melson officiating. Burial followed in Mount Hermon Cemetery at Savannah.
