Audrey Bowling (7-3-19) service 7-5-19

Audrey Phillips Bowling,  100, of Savannah, died on Wednesday, July 3.
She was the daughter of the late Ada Walker and Coy Phillips. She was united in marriage to Taylor Bowling, who preceded her in death.
During her career she was employed as a telephone operator, worked at the atomic plant in Oak Ridge, and spent 25 years at Savannah Manufacturing Company as payroll clerk and office manager. She volunteered at the Red Cross Blood Mobile for 20 years, and worked in the county elections for 14 years. She was a member of Savannah Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Blackwell of Miami Florida, and Sherri Lackey of Savannah; four grandsons; seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Norman Bowling; her sister, Kate Stanfield; and two brothers, Thelbert and Rex Phillips.

Services were held on Friday, July 5, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah in Savannah with Jim Chamblee, Chuck Morris and Dustin Perkins officiating. Burial followed in New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery at Savannah.
