James “Jeff” Perkins (6-28-19) service 7-2-19

James Frederick “Jeff” Perkins, 65, of Counce, died on Friday, June 28 in Memphis.
He was born in Memphis, son of the late James and Winifred “Winnie Ma” Perkins. He was united in marriage to Jan Long, who survives.
Pursuing a career in airplane mechanics, Mr. Perkins worked at FedEx on the original falcon jets and eventually became one of the chief mechanics for the company when he retired in 2014 after 39 years with FedEx. He was a member of Nativity parish in Bartlett for many years until he moved to Pickwick in 2016 and joined Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. He was elected to the Shiloh Falls Homeowners Board of Directors.
In addition to his wife, Jan Perkins, he is survived by his sisters, Mary Beth Trouy of Collierville, Tennessee and Martha Ann Cline of Conover, North Carolina.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Paula Perkins McDermott.

A Rosary Service was held at Church of the Nativity in Bartlett, Tennessee on Monday, July 1. A Funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, July 2, at Our Lady of the Lake in Counce with Father Dexter Noblefranca and Father James Clark officiating. Burial followed in White Sulphur Cemetery at Pickwick Dam. A Celebration of Life followed at Shiloh Falls Clubhouse in Pickwick Dam.
