Virginia “Jenny” Morris (5-20-19)

Virginia “Jenny” Barrier Morris departed this life on Monday, May 20, at North Alabama Medical Center at the age of 86 years.
She was born in Hardin County on Oct. 28, 1932, the daughter of Doug and Lucille Barrier. On Sept. 13, 1953, she was united in marriage to Coy Morris. He preceded her in death on Nov. 16, 2014.
Jenny was a homemaker. She was a sitter to several children, including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Some of her favorite pastimes were gardening and visiting family. She loved to have company. Making a garden each year with her husband, was the thing they enjoyed most doing together. Jenny also enjoyed helping Coy to farm. She loved planting all sorts of flowers and watching them grow. She also enjoyed going to the movies from time to time.  She was the type of person who would be there to support you in any situation. Above all else, She loved her family. She was a selfless and beautiful soul.
She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Brooks of Savannah; three grandchildren, Stacy Crotts, Bethany White and husband Blake and Julie Brooks; and five great-grandchildren, Maggie, Sophie and David White, Aiden and Tyler Crotts.
In addition to her husband, Virginia Morris was preceded in death by her parents, Doug and Lucille Barrier.
