Maurie Hardin (5-23-19) service 5-26-19
Maurie Hardin, 57, of Savannah, died on Thursday, May 23, in Jackson, Tennessee.
He was born in Alcorn County, Tennessee, the son of the late John Everett Hardin and Shirley Juanita Briggs Scott.
Mr. Hardin worked for five years as a deck hand for the Mississippi Queen. He also had worked for 20 years at Briggs Tobacco Company.
He is survived by two brothers, Mike Hardin and Marlin “Bubba” Hardin, both of Savannah; sister, Romona Casteel of Savannah; nieces and nephews; and one great-niece.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one great-niece, EmmaKate Christine.
Services were held on Sunday, May 26, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Barry Binion officiating. Burial followed in Wesley’s Chapel Church Cemetery at Savannah.
