Helen “Judy” Austin (5-6-19) service 5-11-19

Helen “Judy” Martin Austin, 80, of Murfreesboro, died on Monday, May 6.
She was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the oldest daughter of the late Robert Ware and Julia Hoyle Martin. She was united in marriage to Millard Paul Austin, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Austin worked in the insurance business for 20 years until her retirement in 2003.  She also obtained the designation of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).
She is survived by her brothers, Robert Ware Martin II and Charles Allen Martin; sister, Elizabeth Anne Martin; daughters, Paula Sykes, Missy Nesbitt and Susan Higgins; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Her life was celebrated on Saturday, May 11, at Shackelford Funeral Home in Savannah.    Burial followed at Holland Creek Methodist Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to NAMI Tennessee or Alive Hospice.
