TWRA Boater Education course coming to Hardin County

TWRA officers are offering three Boater Education classes in West Tennessee during May. Classes will be provided in Tipton, Hardin and Perry counties.
Tipton County is hosting a class on Thursday, May 2, starting at 4:30 p.m. The class will be held at the Brighton High School Library at 8045 Tenn. 51 South in Brighton.
Hardin County is hosting a class on Saturday, May 4, starting at 8 a.m. The course will be held at the Hardin County Library at 1365 Pickwick St. South in Savannah.
Perry County is hosting a class on Tuesday, May 21, starting at 6 p.m. The course will be held at the Linden Career Center, at 113 Factory St. in Linden.
Tennessee residents born after Jan. 1, 1989, must have in their possession a TWRA issued card showing proof of successful completion of the TWRA administered boating safety exam if operating a motor vessel more than 8.5 horsepower. Students must be 12 or older to take the course. A $10 type 600 Boater Education Test permit must be purchased before the class to take the test.
