Johnny Johnson (4-27-19) service 4-29-19

Johnny James Johnson, 74, of Savannah, died on Saturday, April 27.
He was born in Lutts, the son of the late Walker and Margaret Bratton Johnson. He was united in marriage to Betty Ruth McGee, who survives.
From early on, Mr. Johnson took responsibility for caring for Johnson Chapel. He played guitar and sang at church.
In addition to his wife, Betty Johnson, he is survived by his daughters, Renay Hollander, Tammy Gross, Madonna Newborn and Misty Brewer, all of Lutts; sisters, Beatrice Porter of Nashville and Janice Balentine of Cypress Inn, Tennessee; brother, Robert Johnson of Lutts; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Louise White, Geneva English, Gloria Fisher and Mary Walker Martin; and brothers, William Johnson and Jerry Johnson.
Services were held on Monday, April 29, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Greg Eaton officiating. Burial followed in Centenary Cemetery at Lutts.
